Many councils keep a small budget to support local groups. A community website is a modest, practical thing to fund: it helps residents find the village hall, the club or the class.
Councils can help in whichever way suits their rules.

Grant makers and charitable trusts
Local grant makers, trusts and community foundations often support the basics that let a group run well. A website is one of those basics for many groups.
Each funder has its own rules, so please check that a website is something they will pay for.
How it usually works
- The group applies and includes the website in its budget
- I supply a written quote and can supply invoices
- Where a funder can only give to constituted groups or charities, the grant goes to the group, and the group pays £20 a month as normal
- A funder that can pay a business directly can pay by invoice

If you are applying to a parish council or a grant maker, a website is a small, clear request. Ask me for a written quote and I will send one.

A sponsorship, not a charitable gift. JW Community Websites is run by Jake Wells as a sole trader and is not a charity. The money pays for websites to be built, hosted and kept up to date. Funders with rules about who they can pay should check them, and where in doubt the grant can go to the group instead.
