How It Works
No jargon, no technical steps for you to do. Here's exactly what happens, from the moment you get in touch to years down the line.
This is the part that happens once. After this, your site is live and the only thing left to do is send updates as and when you need them.
By phone, email, or the form on this site — whichever suits you. We cover what your group does, what you'd like the site to include, and anything you already have (a logo, photos, an old website to work from). There's no pressure and no obligation at this stage.
You don't need to write anything yourself. I put the wording together from what you've told me, in plain, welcoming language, and build the pages around it. If you've sent photos or a logo, they go in; if not, the site is built cleanly without them.
Nothing is published without you seeing it first. If something's wrong, missing, or needs a different tone, say so and it's changed — this review step is included, not an extra.
Usually 3–5 business days after our first conversation. Only once your site is actually live and working does the £50 a month begin — there's nothing to pay before this point.
This is where the £50 a month earns its keep. There's no dashboard to learn — you just tell me what needs to change, and I do it.
Email, WhatsApp, a phone call, or the Request an Update form on this site — whatever's easiest for you. A new event, a change to opening times, a notice for the newsletter, new committee members, a room-hire price change. If you're not sure how to word it, just tell me roughly what you mean and I'll write it up properly.
No forms for you to fill in on the back end, no software, nothing to log into. I edit the actual page and check it looks right before it goes anywhere.
For anything urgent, say so and I'll turn it around faster. For routine updates, a day or two is typical — either way, your site stops looking abandoned and starts looking like a group that's actually active.
Month 1: The site goes live with the hall's booking information, room hire rates, and a page about the committee. Nothing fancy — just clear, accurate information that wasn't easy to find anywhere online before.
Month 3: The spring fête is coming up. Someone on the committee sends a text with the date and a couple of details — it's on the homepage within a day, with a link people can share on the village Facebook group.
Month 6: Room hire rates go up slightly for the new financial year. A one-line email is all it takes to get the price updated across the site.
Month 9: Two long-standing committee members step down and two new ones join. A quick phone call updates the "Committee" page with the new names — no need for anyone to have kept a login or password anywhere.
Month 12: The AGM date, the new accounts summary, and a thank-you note to outgoing members all go up the same week they're needed. The site still looks exactly as current as the day it launched — because keeping it that way was never left to chance.
Do I need to know anything technical?
No. Nothing at all. You never need to log into anything, install anything, or learn any software — that's the entire point of this service.
What if nobody on our committee is confident online?
That's genuinely fine. You can phone me and simply tell me what needs to change — I'll write it up properly myself. A short handwritten note read out over the phone works just as well as a perfectly worded email.
What if I send an update and it's not quite right?
Just let me know and I'll correct it — there's no charge for getting something adjusted after the fact, and no limit on how many times you can ask.
What if we don't send any updates for months?
That's completely fine too — the site stays live and hosted regardless. Updates are there whenever you need them, not a use-it-or-lose-it allowance.
Fill in the form and I'll get back to you — usually the same day. Or call, text, or email me directly.
